Characters for 3D Modeling
These are a couple of project collaborations with https://soniklis.artstation.com/ who has turned my sketches into 3D models. When I make artwork for other people I like to work closely engaged with them every step of the way in order to ensure the end product turns out as expected and that no time is wasted on misunderstandings.
In this collaboration with https://soniklis.artstation.com/ we dived into the beloved Terry Pratchett characters from "Guards! Guards" re-imagined as toy figurines.
She provided me with the references in order to stay as true to her vision as possible.
These are the reference sheets for the bodies.
In the end I decided to render Carrot for fun while trying to experiment with a new rendering method (gray-scale to color).
This "squishy" gentleman is a collaboration with https://soniklis.artstation.com/, who aimed to create a 3D model. We assembled a reference board, highlighted key elements, and I refined the design through sketches and adjustments to match her vision.
